Accessibility

Reserved seating areas for patrons utilizing a wheelchair, scooter, or for those with mobility limitations are located throughout the stadium.

Alcohol Policy

Alcohol policies are listed below:

  • No alcohol will be sold to fans who appear intoxicated.
  • There will be a limit of two (2) alcoholic beverages per transaction.
  • Management reserves the right to cut off alcohol sales at its discretion.
  • Fans who do not have proof of being at least 21 years of age may be ejected for possessing alcohol.
  • Fans passing alcohol to minors will be ejected and subject to arrest.
  • We reserve the right to refuse the sale of alcohol to any fan.
  • Outside alcoholic beverages may not be brought beyond the security screening. Any attempt to bring outside alcoholic beverages into Truly Hard Seltzer NHL PreGame™ or Cotton Bowl® Stadium will be considered a violation of the NHL® Fan Code of Conduct and may result in the fan being ejected, arrested or tickets being revoked.
  • All alcohol sales will be discontinued at the beginning of the third period.

Concessions

Food and beverage sales will be available during the game throughout the stadium, Cotton Bowl Plaza outside Gate A, and Nimitz Plaza outside Gate J. All alcohol sales will be discontinued at the beginning of the third period.

Cotton Bowl® Stadium – Clear Bag Policy and Medical Device Bags

Permitted bags allowed in Cotton Bowl® Stadium include: Only Bags and totes that are made of clear plastic and do not exceed 12” X 6” X 12”, or one-gallon clear resealable plastic storage bags, or small clutch bags or purses (which are not required to be clear) that do not exceed 4.5” X 6.5”.  All other bags (including but not limited to backpacks) and/or containers (including but not limited to cans, plastic bottles, thermos, coolers, and/or hard-sided bags) are prohibited inside the stadium.

 

Medical device bags are permitted, though will be subject to inspection upon entrance to Cotton Bowl® Stadium.

DART Schedule

  • All DART Light Rail Lines (Red, Blue, Orange and Green) will operate a normal Sunday schedule with trains running every 20 minutes. 
  • Service will be added to Green Line between Victory and Lawnview Stations (service to Fair Park Station) with trains scheduled every 10 minutes from 8:25am - 8:08pm.
  • Orange Line service will be extended from LBJ Central Station to Parker Road Station and run every trains 10 minutes from 8:00am - 8:00pm.  
  • TRE does not operate on Holidays and will not provide service on January 1st, 2020.

Emergency

"If you see something, say something!"

In the event of an emergency, notify the closest Cotton Bowl® Stadium personnel.

Evacuation

In the event of an emergency please follow in-stadium instructions heard over the loudspeaker to the nearest exit in an orderly and calm manner to seek shelter in a nearby campus building. Please be prepared to use an alternative exit route if necessary, as your usual route of exit may not be available during an emergency.

First Aid

There are two emergency first aid stations, at Gates A & G and in Sections 116 & 137. Paramedics are on duty throughout the game. If assistance is needed in the stands, please contact the nearest usher or emergency medical personnel.

Gate Information

Public Gates including Security Screening & Ticketed Gates will open at 9:00AM with access to the Truly Hard Seltzer NHL® PreGame, Cotton Bowl Plaza and extended outside concourses around Cotton Bowl® Stadium. At 11:00AM doors to Cotton Bowl® Stadium and the seating bowl will open.

Merchandise

Officially licensed merchandise is available at retail locations and novelty shops located in Cotton Bowl Plaza outside Gate A, Nimitz Plaza outside Gate J, and inside Cotton Bowl® Stadium on the Main Concourse behind Section 33. Visit any one of these locations for the widest selection of 2020 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® jerseys, apparel, hats and souvenirs.

NHL® Fan Code of Conduct

The NHL® and its Member Clubs are committed to creating a safe and comfortable environment and enjoyable entertainment experience. NHL® fans have a right to expect an environment in which they will be treated in a consistent, professional and courteous manner by all venue, team, and NHL® personnel, as well as by other fans. The players and officials have the same rights. Accordingly, fans are responsible for their own conduct. The following standards have been established with respect to fan conduct:

  • Fans are entitled to enjoy a hockey experience free from disruptive or inconsiderate behaviors or unruly actions.
  • Fans may not interfere with the event and/or athletes in any manner.
  • Fans shall refrain from using abusive, discriminatory or hateful language or obscene gestures.
  • Fans may not engage in fighting, throwing objects, or other behaviors deemed detrimental to the experience of other guests and those who engage in any of these activities will immediately be ejected from the game.
  • Fans are encouraged to report inappropriate behavior to venue staff.
  • Fans who choose to consume alcohol must do so in a legal and responsible manner. Intervention with an intoxicated or impaired fan will be handled in a prompt and safe manner.
  • Fans shall comply with requests from venue staff regarding venue operational and emergency procedures.
  • Fans may not engage in unauthorized commercial activity while on venue property.

Violation of the NHL® Fan Code of Conduct may result in eviction from the venue without a ticket refund. the NHL and its Member Clubs thank you for adhering to the provisions of the NHL® Fan Code of Conduct.

Parking

All presale parking for regular-sized vehicles is sold out. Gameday parking will be available in lots 15 and 16 if you did not pre-purchase parking.

Limited parking will be available on game day and public transportation is highly recommended by using the Dart Rail Green Line trains with a convenient stop at Fair Park Station.

*Parking lots open four hours prior to game time until 10pm. No overnight parking allowed for any size vehicle.

All guests are encouraged to arrive and enter the Truly Hard Seltzer NHL PreGame™ and Cotton Bowl® Stadium early to alleviate long security screening lines. Please note that entry into The PreGame requires a 2020 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® ticket.

Security

NHL security protocol includes walk through metal detectors. Please arrive early to allow for extra screening time. 

Smoking

No smoking is permissible anywhere inside the Cotton Bowl® Stadium.

Tailgating

Tailgating activities will be permitted in Pre-Purchased lots only including: Lots 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 & Parry Ave Lot; from the time parking lots open until puck drop only (approximately 12:30 p.m. CST). Tailgating is not permitted during the game or postgame.

Fans are encouraged to purchase parking passes in advance here.

  • Parking Spaces: Fans can only occupy one (1) parking stall per parking pass. Tailgating in the parking lots must be limited to the area directly in front of or behind the vehicle. Tents and tailgating equipment must not extend beyond into drive/fire lanes, along sidewalks and painted walkways, or other areas deemed by Fair Park staff as an obstruction. Saving parking spaces is not allowed at any time. Fans who want to tailgate together must arrive together. Fans are not allowed to rope off or reserve tailgate areas. Tailgating in empty stalls is prohibited.
  • Alcohol Consumption: Excessive or underage consumption of alcohol will not be tolerated. Drinking games or any other activity that is linked to competitive or binge drinking are not permitted. Games or activities determined by security staff to be unsafe or which could cause harm to other fans will not be allowed.
  • Grills: Natural gas or propane grills are permitted, however, charcoal grills and oil fryers are not permitted.
  • Food and Beverages: Fans are limited to preparing/ providing food and beverages for their family and friends only. Private catering companies or the sale of food or beverage items to other fans is not permitted.
  • Unmanned Aircraft Systems: Unmanned aircraft systems (i.e. drones, radio-controlled model aircraft, etc.) are prohibited. Possession or operation of such devices will result in immediate ejection from the area and law enforcement intervention.
  • Audio Equipment: Portable public address systems are not permitted and large portable radios and sound systems inside vehicles cannot be used at excessive volume levels or play music not suitable for a public setting (i.e. profanity in lyrics) as determined by parking lot or security team member.
  • Generators: Small portable electric generators (6500W or less) are allowed, however, electrical cords cannot be placed across parking area drive aisles, any sidewalk or create a trip hazard for other fans.
  • Prohibited Items and Activities: Weapons of any kind, fireworks, glass containers, illegal drug use, the sale of goods or services, fighting and harassment, and the advertising or display of commercial signage is not permitted.
  • Waste: If you bring it take it away! Fair Park encourages all fans to reduce, reuse and recycle and dispose of all waste in appropriate waste and recycling containers. Please help keep Fair Park clean!
  • Fans vehicles that fail to comply with all Parking Guidelines will be subject to tow and all fees associated with the impounding of the vehicle are the responsibility of the owner.
  • Fair Park First, City of Dallas, Spectra, State Fair of Texas, National Hockey League, and ACE Parking do not guard, or assume care, custody, or control of vehicles or their contents and is not responsible for any fire, theft, damage, or loss. Lock vehicles, remove/hide valuables, and take your keys!
  • Tailgating in parking lots is intended for Winter Classic ticket holders only and fans are reminded that the NHL's Code of Conduct extends throughout these areas.

Ticket Information

Child Seat Policy

Any child two years of age and older will require a ticket to enter the stadium and must occupy their ticketed seat. Re-entry is not permitted. 

Re-Entry Policy

Re-entry into the 2020 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® is not permitted once your ticket has been scanned at the entrance of either Cotton Bowl® Stadium or the Truly Hard Seltzer NHL® PreGame.

Ticket Office Location

The main NHL Ticket Office will be located in the East Lobby of Fair Park Coliseum, adjacent to parking lot 12A, just East of Cotton Bowl® Stadium. A ticket service booth will be located in Tower Circle.

Truly Hard Seltzer NHL® PreGame™

The Truly Hard Seltzer NHL PreGame™ is the official fan festival of the 2020 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® and will be open on Wednesday, January 1st from 9:00AM - 8:00PM CT at Cotton Bowl® Plaza and at The State Fair of Texas® Midway from 9:00AM - 12:30PM CT and from Postgame until 8:00PM CT. The PreGame will offer fans of all ages, family-friendly hockey interactive games and attractions, live music and an opportunity to take a picture with the greatest trophy in sports, the Stanley Cup®.
