...DART light rail

During the 1936 Texas Centennial Exposition, trolleys traveled along Parry in front of the main entrance to the fair...

..now, DART rail cars do the same.

The Fair Park DART Green Line light rail station (at Parry & Exposition) and the nearby MLK Station (at J.B. Jackson & Trunk) are now open ... just in time for the 2009 State Fair of Texas.

In creating their vision for the DART light rail station, Brad & Diana Goldberg — the artists responsible — have paid respect to the history of the area as well as the surrounding neighborhoods.

Nearby destinations and attractions for the Fair Park stop will, of course, include the Cotton Bowl Stadium, Superpages.com Center, Music Hall at Fair Park, Museum of Nature & Science, The Women's Museum and more.

Nearby destinations and attractions for the MLK Station will also be Fair Park plus the Martin Luther King, Jr. Library & Learning Center, Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior Center and Martin Luther King, Jr. Health Center. Parking will also be available at this station.
