Fair Park Update - May, 2012
Welcome to the Blink Network!
Installed just days before our highly anticipated and successful Earth Day Dallas event, Fair Park now has two electric vehicle Blink network charging stations located near Grand Avenue at Gate 5. This means that you can now charge your electric vehicles while visiting a festival, attraction or museum at Fair Park
Anyone can use the Blink Charging Stations and standard parking rates apply. The charges are intended for short term use of about one to four hours. Once the charge is complete, patrons who have created settings via the Blink Network will receive a text or email letting them know when charging is complete. We encourage EV owners to move their vehicles when charging is complete to make room for others wanting to use the service.
The EV Project (Electric Vehicle) is the largest rollout of electric vehicle infrastructure in history and is funded through the Department of Energy and the American Recovery Reinvestment Act. The project will collect and analyze data of use and evaluate the effectiveness of charge infrastructure.
The service is free through the trial period scheduled to end in 2013. If you would like to secure a Blink card or need more information on the program, please be sure to visit www.BlinkNetwork.com or call 888.998.BLINK. Should you forget your Blink Network card, please make our security officer at Gate 5 aware and he will notify us so that we can provide your access to the system.
We welcome your thoughts and feedback in the months ahead. Visit us again soon and discover the many offerings at Fair Park, Texas where one fun thing leads to another.
