Fair Park Update - June, 2011

FAIR PARK a You Tube Sensation

It's fascinating to see pictures of Fair Park and the historic transformation of architecture, art and events since the 1936 Texas Centennial.

O
ver time photography enthusiasts have captured the essence of people, places and things at our wonderful park. Pictures of families at the museums, kids on the midway, Big Tex, the winning touchdown, another corny dog down the hatch are often familiar. What has been hidden are peoples home videos of Fair Park.

Not until the arrival of You Tube has the public had access and the opportunity to enjoy visitors personal videos of their day at the park.

We thought you would enjoy some of our favorite clips. Following are our top ten favorites. If you have your own Fair Park video footage, we encourage you to share the magic of Fair Park with the world by uploading it to You Tube ... and let us know about it.
