Colorful gondolas gracefully float above the color and commotion that exists at street level throughout Fair Park.
Those gondolas represent the Texas Skyway, which debuted in 2007. Similar to ski lift gondolas, the cars transport visitors 65 feet above the ground for a ride that is one-third of a mile long.
The Skyway is built to carry 5,000 people an hour in eight-passenger gondolas that travel 600 feet per minute. The gondolas' design is Art Deco-inspired (in keeping with the architecture of Fair Park) and boasts a state-of-the-art safety system that ensures a safe, smooth ride.
Board the Texas Skyway next to Big Tex and travel it to the far end of The Midway – or vice versa! Either way, you'll enjoy a panoramic perspective of Fair Park.
