The State Fair of Texas Celebrates All Things Texan

The State Fair of Texas has celebrated all things Texan since its establishment in 1886. It has done this by promoting agriculture, education, and community involvement through quality entertainment in a family-friendly environment.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the State Fair of Texas serves as an advocate for the community through its commitment to preserving Fair Park and its regularly building upon its legacy as a National Historic Landmark.

The State Fair of Texas runs 24 consecutive days, making it the longest-running fair in the nation. It is also one of the largest. Its tremendous growth over time has shown it can continually evolve while staying true to its original purpose.

Through its rich and lengthy history, the State Fair has served not just as an annual celebration. It’s also a unique destination that brings people together and helps them create lifelong memories.
